Dr. Saif Ali Al-Hajari, CEO, Qatar CSR National Program and President, Mubadara for Social Impact
Dr. Al Hajari began his career teaching at the Department of Geology at Qatar University where he remained until 2002. He got involved with Qatar Foundation (QF) from its inception, serving as vice-chairman from 1995 until 2011. He also founded and managed many organizations, he was a founding member of Qatar Academy, QF's first school; founder and vice president of Qatar Leadership Academy; creator and chairman of the Qur'anic Botanic Garden; founder and chairman of Qatar Music Academy and Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra; founder and general supervisor of Al Noor Institute for the Blind, and founder and chairman of The Friends of the Environment Centre in Qatar.
Dr. Saif is an Advocate for the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact and an International Ambassador for the Gulf Network for Social Responsibility. Apart from the initiatives developed, Dr. Al Hajari was bestowed and honored with many awards.
After an exceptional career history, Dr. Al Hajari co-founded Mubadara for Social Impact and acts as its President, with a vision to help and guide institutions to leave a legacy of societal impact through investing in proper CSR initiatives, enabling them to leap to another level of reputation enhancement and respect.
Dr. Rana Sobh, Dean of College of Business and Economics, Qatar University
Rana Sobh is a Professor of Marketing and Dean of The college of Business and Economics at Qatar University. She received her PhD in marketing from the University of Auckland in 2006 and joined Qatar University in 2007. Prof. Sobh is leading key committees and initiatives at the university level. She has contributed to several national and international projects and served on many local and international organizations’ advisory boards. She has been recently nominated to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) to help promote innovation and excellence in higher education.
Prof. Sobh's work in the area of Consumer Culture and Behavior, International Marketing Communication and Sports Marketing has been published in many reputable journals and edited books. She has received local and international awards in recognition of her teaching and research.
Prof. Sobh is a strong advocate for re-designing higher education curricula and pedagogies to better prepare graduates for the challenges of life and citizenship in the 21st century. She believes that higher education institutions should prepare agents of changes and responsible citizens who would address big challenges faced by local and global communities to create a sustainable future and a better world for all.
Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Esmael, Head of CSR Committee, Qatar University
Dr. Bader Al-Esmael is an Associate Professor of Management at the Management and Marketing Department, College of Business & Economics at Qatar University. In 2007, Dr. Al-Esmael earned his PhD in Management from Hull University, United Kingdom. He also earned an MBA degree in Business Administration from University of West Florida, USA in 2000.
Dr. Al-Esmael`s research interests lie in the fields of corporate social responsibility, job satisfaction, strategic human resource management, organizational performance, and international management topics. His researches are published in different international journals.
Since 2014, Dr. Bader Al-Esmael is the Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of Qatar University and a member of many committees within and outside Qatar University, and an active member in some professional associations such as the Academy of Management and European Academy of Management.
Jack Saba, General Manager, Mubadara for Social Impact
An accomplished communications professional with more than 25 years of corporate experience guiding regional and international energy majors in building their brands, Jack has served 5 years with Qatar Energy and 9 years as General Manager of Public Affairs for Sasol in Qatar before joining Mubadara for Social Impact as General Manager.
With his experience, network, and background in the communication sector, stakeholder relations and public affairs for the last 19 years in Qatar, and recipient of the 2017 CSR Innovation Award, Jack is making a difference and improving lives with the CSR initiatives he created. These initiatives are recognized as breaking the mould of CSR in the Qatar market and are highly valued by the government and the local community.
Jack is a community activist and holds many roles, he is a board member of Casa Hunter, a global NGO for people with rare diseases, advisor to several other NGOs, and President of the Notre Dame University Alumni in Qatar.
Haitham Hossam Al Dein, Chief Strategy Officer, Qatar CSR National Program
Author, publisher, and entrepreneur specializing in social responsibility and business strategies. He has 9 academic publications. He has 20 years of experience in research, consulting, economic, social and media plans. He is a spokesperson and an associate member of projects and events specialized in social responsibility’s field in GCC.
He has an advanced level in creative thinking and building partnerships and alliances between stakeholders in the public and private sectors especially in innovation-based intellectual initiatives. He has mastered the skills of quick access to public opinion, databases, information, and knowledge related to any issue of global interest.
Expert in the literature of the United Nations, especially contemporary global issues, including social responsibility, sustainable development goals, non-governmental organizations, environment and climate change, education for sustainable development, youth and sports; In addition to digital transformation, "blockchain" and (NFTs).
